This immunotoxin was achieved by conjugating/fusing the IL-18 to Pseudomonas exotoxin. It was expressed in CHO and purified with affinity chromatography. The immunotoxin selectively binds to IL-18R–bearing antigen-presenting cells (APCs). The interleukin-18 receptor 1 (IL-18R1) is an interleukin receptor of the immunoglobulin superfamily.
