This immunotoxin was achieved by conjugating/fusing the Anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody to gelonin. It was expressed in CHO and purified with affinity chromatography. The immunotoxin selectively binds to CD38+ cells. CD38 is a novel multifunctional ectoenzyme widely expressed in cells and tissues especially in leukocytes.
